LOL! I love this woman. :)

Katee is right on the money.

But, honestly, who gives a shit what Dirk Benedict says anyway? Fuck him, Katee; he's got nothing on you. The guy's just a washed-up B-movie grade actor desperately clinging to the only quasi-success he ever had in Battlestar Galactica (he should just stick with trying to exploit his other quasi-success 'The A-Team'--at least it lasted a few years). Had Dirk played his cards right, he could have gotten himself a recurring role on the new BSG like Hatch did (and, judging by one of Ron's commentaries on the season one DVDs, he would have), but that's not gonna happen anymore. Bye bye Dirk.

The old BSG is dead and gone; a relic of 70's sci-fi kitsch. It's over. The new BSG is a proverbial godsend; a revelation and breakthrough for the sci-fi genre in general, and one of the best dramas on televsion period (ranking right up there with Deadwood, the Shield, Six Feet Under, Lost and Rome). Why do you think prestigous publications like Time Magazine and the Boston Globe have called it the best science-fiction program ever since the Twilight Zone and the original Star Trek? Sorry, but that's one hell of an endorsement. The monthly obscure sci-fi geek mags, and internet watering holls, that may be bashing the new show and looking back through their rose-tinted glasses on the original dont know what the hell they are talking about; nostalgia's clouding their judgement.

Fans of the original can continue to bitch and moan all they want, but Moore's BSG WILL not only outlast the old show, it will also be remembered with more regard because of it's vastly superior artistic substance and because of the fact that it executed Glen Larson's original premise better than it's predecessor did. Sorry...it's just a fact. Deal with it.
