FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

SILVER HILLS PICTURES SIGN KEVIN SORBO AND DEE WALLACE FOR JUNIOR DETECTIVE AGENCY SEQUEL "SAM STEELE AND THE CRYSTAL CHALICE."

NEW ALBANY, Indiana (August 30, 2010)- Silver Hills Pictures is proud to announce that "Sam Steele and the Crystal Chalice" will begin principal photography on Monday, October 11, 2010 in Louisville,Kentucky and southern Indiana.

Heading the cast is Kevin Sorbo (Hercules, the Legendary Journeys, Gene Roddenberry's Andromeda) as the international thief and treasure hunter

CASH and Dee Wallace (E.T. The Extra-Terrestrial) as MS. JENKINS, an antique store owner who puts Sam on the hunt for the Crystal Chalice.

Jacob Hays
(Disney's Really Short Report) returns as SAM STEELE JR., the young detective who formed The Junior Detective Agency to solve crimes in his Midwestern town. In "Sam Steele and the Crystal Chalice," Sam and the gang are searching for the missing Russian treasure believed to be hidden in a local historic, glamorous hotel.

Also part of this experienced cast are Ron Dean (The Dark Knight) as VLADIMIR, head of the Kremlin Museum and Mik Scriba (The Negotiator) as DANIEL, a fire chief with a mysterious past.

Assisting CASH as part of his treasure hunting gang are Jeff Chase (The Mechanic, Transporter II) as KIRBY and Gene Wolande (L.A. Confidential, The Negotiator) as the dim-witted MERYL.

Written, produced and directed by Tom Whitus of Silver Hills Pictures, "Sam Steele and the Crystal Chalice," marks a third consecutive family film in three years under the Silver Hills shingle.

Like 2009's "Sam Steele and the Junior Detective Agency," which is to be released on domestic DVD January 4, 2011, the sequel is being sold worldwide by Los Angeles-based Fantastic Films International.

The story begins with the disappearance of the Crystal Chalice, a priceless Russian treasure dating back to the era of Peter the Great, in the early days of the Bolshevik Revolution.

Hidden in the Soviet Union for many decades, the Crystal Chalice is smuggled by a personal valet into the United States during a visit by the Soviet Premier in the late 1950s.

Jump ahead to present day, when Sam Steele Jr. is assigned a book report on the Premier's visit. His lack of interest takes a 180 degree turn when Ms. Jenkins tells him the story of the Crystal Chalice.

Unknown to Sam, an undercover Russian agent and a gang of treasure hunters are also pursuing the Crystal Chalice. It is up to Sam to find the treasure before it falls into the wrong hands.
