After persistent pressure from fans of the fantasy series, Syfy has again confirmed that it won't be picking up Legend of the Seeker.

The message came in a Twitter post from Craig Engler, Syfy's head of digital media: "Dear #LegendoftheSeeker fans. I appreciate your passion, but the Twitter not so much ;) I'm sorry but we're unable to pick LOTS up."

In an attempt to get a third season, fans launched the ‘Save Our Seeker' campaign, which set about raising money to have a big two-page spread placed in various entertainment trades in order to try and get word out and support the series.

They also produced various viral videos to show support as well.

The original report can be found at SciFiPulse.net

*shock* Another fan campaign trying to save a cancelled tv show ends up being a waste of time?

Say it ain't so. */shock*

Well... maybe now they can try to have it turned into a theatrical movie that no one will bother going to see. ;-)

can't say I'm really surprised. I don't think the fan base was all that large to start with. This would work much better as a 7 or 8 part miniseries.
