I wonder if Shatner has seen the movie. Wouldn't you think that his kids and grandkids has seen it? Don't you think that they are curious, and he probably is too?
Lets say he saw it even six months ago. What if he honestly didn't like the movie? What if he just decided to say he hasn't seen it just so he can not give a negative opinion.
Sure you can say that might be lying - but it would be a more refreshing sort of lie than what the TNG crew did after Insurrection and also Nemesis in praising the movie until years later when they slammed both.
He might have even liked it, but just wants to avoid answering endless questions on his opinion between Chris Pine and himself.

Now that the movie is out on DVD, I wish Mr Nimoy the best luck in the world in convincing Mr Shatner in watching the movie with him. Maybe they can invite Kate Mulgrew and Patrick Stewart (both good friends of Mr Shatner) and watch the movie together.
Seriously. I really hope so.
