iFMagazine posted a new interview with former Star Trek Deep Space Nine producer Ira Steven Behr, in which he talks about producing the second season of the TV Series Crash, and here are excerpts from the interview.

iF: You're well known for your work in the science fiction genre on shows like STAR TREK: DEEP SPACE NINE and THE 4400. Were you looking to work outside the genre?

BEHR:
No.

iF: Linda Park, who plays Seth's wife, was a regular on STAR TREK: ENTERPRISE.Was her casting on CRASH a complete coincidence, or did she get referred to you by the greater STAR TREK universe?

BEHR:
Not only did she just come in to audition, but when I was in the audition, I didn't even know the STAR TREK connection, because I never watched ENTERPRISE. So that came after, and I thought, ‘Oh, my God, everyone's going to think ...' But if that had been the case, I would have brought some of my homies from DEEP SPACE NINE. Trust me. I just looked into Andy Robinson [Garak on DEEP SPACE NINE], but Andy's not acting at the moment, he's running the theatre department at USC. I'm going to see Jeff Combs doing a one-man Poe theatrical piece. Jeffrey's been in almost everything I've ever done since DEEP SPACE NINE. It's not always the easiest thing to find the exact role that you want for the actor that you want. But obviously, yes [there is thought given to finding appropriate roles for them].
