Aerial Filming Of Star Trek Movie Location Shoot - Minor Spoilers

According to TrekMovie.com, KTTV's This Morning LA the traffic copter filmed some location shooting for the new Star Trek movie taking place close to downtown Los Angeles. TrekMovie sources confirmed this info.

According to a TrekMovie source, the scenes being shot are "some guys flying out of a ship." You can see parts of the ship later in the video. You also can see a white area which appears to be "some kind of glacier or ice thing".

That'll teach them filming in the open air in the middle of LA! I wonder why they weren't at Paramount? Or better still, why aren't they in Iceland? Weren't they supposed to be filming there?

Glaciers and ice can be so beautiful... I hope the movie will be edited so there is time for the audience to really absorb these environments.

Anyway, it is a HUGE set. This is clearly the biggest budget "Track" movie ever.
