By GustavoLeao / 20:37, 2 November 2004 / Enterprise

The latest issue of DreamWatch magazine, just out in the UK, features an exclusive interview with ENTERPRISE actor John Billingsley ('Doctor Phlox'), in which he revealed a few tid bits about the upcoming episode 'Cold Station 12', the second episode featuring TNG star Brent Spiner as 'Doctor Arik Soong'. Here are a few excerpts of the interview :

"I learn that Dr Phlox's heretofore unseen compatriot, Dr. Lucas (his pen pal, as referenced in multiple episodes), is in deep doo doo and needs big time rescuing." the actor reveals "In this episode Brent Spiner, our guest villain (and what a kind, funny, intelligent and gracious man he is), is attacking a facility where thousands of genetically enhanced embryos that were cryogenically frozen after the Eugenics Wars are now being stored."

The actor told the magazine that those three episodes featuring Spiner are part of a complicated story arc and perhaps the best set of ENTERPRISE episodes that have been made to date

"Dr. Lucas had apparently been transferred to the facility to serve as Chief Medical Officer and I'm perturbed about his well being." he said about the character, who the header of the 'Cold Station 12' facility. "Dr. Lucas is played by Richard Rielhe, whom I have known for over 20 years. He's a great guy. We've both been joking around about the homoerotic subtext of our characters' relationship. All I can say is that the Denobulans are known bisexuals, so no one should be too surprised !" .

The full report can be found at Sci Fi Pulse.

Billingsley seems to ALWAYS talk about the so-called homo-erotic undertones in his character. He must really be obsessed by it! The only problem is that we get tired of it...

I didn't know Denobulans were known bisexuals, but it doesn't surprise me in the least.

I also assumed that Ferengis were known bisexuals... just by the way Quark responded to the female Ferengi Pel, who was dressed up as a male.

I'll be surprised if anyone responds to my post, the only loophole that makes no bloody sense for Cold Station 12 is why were the embryos not destroyed after the Eugenics Wars? You would think that the "winning" nations would have deepfried (sunny side up) those babies and forgotten them...I hope this episode explains this little convience of sorts...
