These "post-series" books are great | Report this post to moderator

I have read most, though not all, of the post-series novels ("Avatar" one and two, "Mission Gamma" 1-4, and "Unity"). They are fantastic. You really feel as though you are reading a continuation of the series. I have yet to be dissapointed in any aspect of the novels. The writing is excellent. Warning, though: You need to read at least some of the early books to understand what's going on in the later books ... just as if you were watching an ongoing series on TV.

I won't spoil things for you, but suffice it to say, these stories, including great new characters, are what we all would have wished for had the series gone beyond its "mandated" seven-year run.

I saw the words "Deep Space Nine" and "mini-series" and I got all excited. As improbable as that sounds, I actually thought for a split second that TPTB were continuing the story of DS9 on television! Then of course I actually read the entire title and article.

Oh well, it was fun while it lasted.
