Comic-Con 2011. What do you think (or wish) J.J. Abrams will reveal at next year's Comic-Con?

By Steve Krutzler / 11:21, 12 February 2004 / Enterprise
The first-run presentation of STAR TREK: ENTERPRISE's "Harbinger" registered upticks in the show's overnight and fast national ratings last night. Although we're well into February, the Sweeps period didn't begin until after last week's "Stratagem," making "Harbinger" the first Sweeps episode of the year.
According to Mediaweek, the episode scored a 3.6/5 overnight rating, up two tenths of a point from last week's 3.4/5 (story). This improvement puts "Harbinger" on top of the 2004 pile and even with last October's "Exile" as far as overnight ratings go. Marc Berman still puts ENTERPRISE in his "loser's" column this week, however. Mediaweek also published the Adults 18-49 demographic, 1.5/4.
Over at Zap2it, the fast national data shows an increase as well. With a 2.5/4, "Harbinger" could best everything else so far this year if the estimate is accurate. "Carpenter Street" had a 2.3, "Chosen Realm" a 2.4, "Proving Ground" a 2.25, and "Stratagem" a 2.4" in the fast national or final tabulations.
ENTERPRISE was again sixth in its timeslot, behind SMALLVILLE in both figures. For the full round-ups, check out Mediaweek and Zap2it.
In related news, TrekWeb readers have sent in reports suggesting that a nude scene in last night's episode may have been edited in part. Viewers from Canada report a longer reveal of Jolene Blalock's naked backside than a viewer in Boston, who wrote in with the report. UPN is owned by CBS, emboriled in a controversy over the recent Super Bowl halftime show. The FCC's investigation into obscenity on television has spooked many networks into editing programming.
