I always found her performance as Marla McGivers in the original series epsidoe "Space Speed" to be one of the best dramtic aspects of the episode.

Then again, TOS featured many remarkable performances from women, although a few were clearly cast for their sex appeal, you cannot deny that most of them provided memorable TV performances.

Marianna Hill's portrayal of Dr. Helen Noel in TOS' "Dagger of the Mind" is another memorable female performance that comes to mind.

Well, ya know. As much as I didn't like the way Nemesis was directed, Berman did something that had to have been done.

I don't like where he's taken Trek at all since he's been in power. However, the people on this board have been crying for something new. Trek is getting stale. It's brought up in every post. He tried by getting a different director. Baird is an excellent director in the action genre and Berman was trying to being that feel to Trek. It backfired, but it was an attempt (even if it was a poor one). Had Frakes directed it and it groosed poorly or gotten bad reviews, everyone here would have torn apart Berman for rehashing the same old crap over and over again.

He was damned if he did, damned if he didn' in this situation. Regardless, it is time for someone new to take the reigns.

You do realize, don't you, that despite what the credits say, Mark Rosenthal had nothign to do with the writing of Star Trek VI? :-)

And I think it's a good call to keep Baird away from Harry Potter. He's a good action director, and a good editor, but I don't trust him directing anything other than straight action films, and his track record in directing established franchises is, well, miserable. :-)
