Guest Stars:

Notes:
  • Neelix is producing his own daily show, "A Briefing with Neelix". He discusses upcoming meals, the goings-on of the crew, and other happy events.

  • The Doctor has come up with several ideas for shows, including "How to keep your nostrils happy", "Exploring the hidden mysteries of the adrenal gland", "The Klingon louse--Friend or Foe?", and an exciting Bolian topic.

  • Harry Kim was the editor of the Starfleet Academy newspaper for one year--he got some of the first information about the Maquis and wrote an editorial about it which polarized the campus into pro- and anti-Maquis groups.

  • Ensign Pablo Bateheart and Ensign Hamilton were both being considered for filling Tom's position.

  • Hemakek IV is in a Yellow Dwarf star system.

  • Raphael Sbarge (Michael Jonas) might be the husband in the "Clicking Ziploc" commerical shown during this episode. Or maybe not.

  • Tom Paris's quarters are on deck 4, section 3-C.

  • The engineering authorization is Omega-4-7. Apparently anyone can use an authorization code if they know what it is... there is no voiceprint authentication. (cf. "Jetrel")

Neelix Produces and Hosts a New Daily Briefing Show

"Investigations" - Neelix, a suddenly self-proclaimed journalist, hears a rumor that a fellow crew member has expressed displeasure with Starfleet and requested leave. Soon, Tom Paris is relieved of duty to become a pilot with a Talaxian convoy--leaving a saddened Voyager crew behind. Almost immediately, the Kazon-Nistrim and the scheming Seska attack the Talaxian fleet, kidnap Paris, and attempt to coerce classified information from him. Meanwhile, Neelix suspects someone aboard Voyager has been secretly communicating with the Kazon and his sleuthing leads him directly to Paris, on "Star Trek: Voyager" airing WEDNESDAY, MARCH 13 (8:00-9:00 p.m., ET/PT) on UPN.
