Kes Onboard Voyager as an observer and adviser in telepathic matters, Kes departed Voyager in the second episode of season four, "The Gift." Throughout her time on the show, she was a student of blossoming telekinetic powers under Tuvok and romantic interest to Neelix. With the producer's feeling her character had run its course, Kes evolved to another plain of existence and and as gift to her Voyager friends threw the ship ten years closer to home and out of Borg territory.
