Notes:

  • This is Robert Hewitt Wolfe's last episode of Deep Space Nine as producer and writer. His upcoming projects include "Splicers", a movie with 20th Century Fox, and "FutureSport", a made-for-TV movie to be shown on ABC this fall.
  • RUMOR: Kai Winn allies Bajor with the Cardassian/Dominion forces when Gul Dukat promises their protection. All Starfleet personnel are ordered to leave the station, and the sector.

The Writers Keyboard (Robert Hewitt Wolfe):

  • René Auberjonois said that the station would be lost at the end of the season. Is this true?
    If Rene A. said that than either he's (a) lying or (b) got a really big mouth. Time will tell.
  • It's called CALL TO ARMS.
    Stuff explodes. Reversals are suffered. Bold promises are made. There will likely be music and special effects.
  • With "A Call To Arms" your last Trek script, did you pull out all the stops?
    That and it was the season finale, so we had more money to spend.
  • Did you put in a lot of the supporting characters? Do Rom, Nog, Leeta, Garak, Dukat, Ziyal, Keiko, Molly, and Winn all show up?
    Nope. But we had to include them do to the nature of the story. And you missed two.
  • Hmmm, if you count Morn, that'd make three they missed, but I think I miscounted, so, counting Morn, lets call it four. Oh, and one or two in the original list won't show up.
  • About his cameo in the episode:
    I'm a science officer so I wear blue. My face is all charred up.
  • Morn shall die heroically, sacrificing his life in a glorious suicide run on the Dominion ship about to destroy DS9. <Sniff!>
    Alas, poor Morn. I knew him Horatio...
  • Who's directing?
    Alan Kroeker (pronounced "Krayker")
  • Which of these recurring characters are in the episode?
    * Gul Dukat * Nog
    Yep, yep.
    * Kai Winn
    Nope
    * Rom * Leeta * Garak * Ziyal
    Yep x 4
    * Keiko * Molly
    Nope x 2
    * Morn
    Yep.
    * Damar
    Hey, you got the secret guest star.
    * Martok
    Yep.
    * Gowron
    Nope.
    * Tomolak (from TNG, remember?)
    Now you're reaching.
    * Robert Hewitt Wolfe
    Yep. Uncredited.
    * Female Changeling
    No Comment.
    * Shakaar
    Nope. In Canada.
    * Jake
    Yep.
    * Eddington
    Err... err... uh... stay tuned.
  • Any truth to the rumor that Kai Winn and Bajor join the Dominion? If so, how can she not be a guest star?
    No Comment.
  • Thanks! And good look in the future!
    Thanks. I like to think I've got a good look right now. But hopefully I'll age well.
  • Where is your cameo?
    Scene in the Docking Ring Corridor with Dax and Worf. Skinny science officer with a rifle being helped up the stairs. Short black hair, charred face.
  • Any chance of a Robert Wolfe action figure?
    Not bloody likely.
