DC TO LICENSE STAR TREK COMICS

DC Comics will license Star Trek comics again in 1999 (Marvel lost the rights last year) . New Star Trek stories will be published by DC's newly purchased WildStorm Line (from comics creator Jim Lee). "We'll be doing miniseries and prestige oneshots such as a Seven of Nine oneshot" editor Scott Dunbier told Comic Shop News "We'll also be doing another very famous licensed product, Speed Racer, by Tommy Yune."

MULGREW & RYAN NOMINATED FOR SCIENCE FICTION AWARD

For the second year in a row, Jeri Ryan and Kate Mulgrew have been nominated by the Academy of Science Fiction, Fantasy and Horror Films for a Saturn Award of Best Actress in a TV Series. Mulgrew was the winner last year. The other nominees are Claudia Christian (Babylon 5), Gillian Anderson (X-Files), Shannen Doherty (Charmed) and Sarah Michelle Gellar (Buffy The Vampire Slayer). The Saturn Awards winners will be annouced June 9th in LA.
